Pepper Stone Ceramics combines elements of the earth to produce functional ceramics for your home with a modern feel. Thrown on the wheel with stoneware clay, our pots are made for years of re-using + re-filling, building memories, or just small moments of joy. With each piece made by hand, we hope to bring a sense of human connection to your everyday routines.
Anna Richardson
Owner, Ceramicist
Anna began her pottery journey while attending the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. Growing up around the arts and initially drawn towards furthering her skills in painting & portraiture, she stepped out of her comfort zone during her first ceramics course in 2016. Instantly captivated by the process, she went on to take two more ceramics courses before graduating in 2018 with a Bachelors Degree in Economics and a minor in Studio Art. Anna continued to create and sell pottery in the Wilmington area until gaining experience as a Marketing Manager of a local brewery and a barista at a coffee shop in 2019. Seeking the mountains and a return to her passion, in 2020 Anna moved to Charlottesville, Virginia where Pepper Stone Ceramics was promptly born. Based out of her home studio, she creates each piece by hand from start to finish and runs her online shop.
When Anna isn’t doing pottery, you can find her baking, enjoying a cocktail, spending time with her 2 cats, or watching some reality tv.
